Tata Indicom - Horrible Tech Support

Ok now I just don’t understand the logic of promising people something and doing something else which is way to different to what you have actually promised.

I had written a post before also about Tata Indicom and their Cust Service.

Last time my internet connection was not working and I was promised that it would get fixed within 4 working hours.

Two days back I was not able to browse through. The internet was on but was not able to ping to any website. So it wasn’t working. I call the Cust care at 1pm and log a call. They promise that they complaint would be addressed in the next 24 working hours. So Whats the deal here. Once in every two months you increase the duration.. Like from 4 hrs to 24 hrs now ? Fine I waited. Nothing happened. So the same night I call the cust care again and they inform me that it has been assigned to some technician named Ravi Kumar. Now who is this Ravi Kumar? Am I supposed to know him? Why are u telling me his name? Give me a solution for this problem sir. I don’t want any names. He says ok mam.. You can go ahead an use a dialup connection and pay Rs 8/- min..

Hellooooooooooooooo don’t you guys have a tool that gives you all the details about what the connection is about? I have a direct DSL LINE.. there is no telephone or landline involved here. Do I have to tell the cust care what type of connection I have for my internet line. My god ! I just tell him, “Listen, you got to fix this problem by 1pm tommrow else I am going to sue you guys. Ok?” and I hung up…

I cannot live without internet even for a single day. I agree I am not working anymore, but I still get mails from ppl and I have a lot of things to do on the internet. Live becomes hell without internet. So I slept or rather tried to sleep and finally succeeded in sleeping at 5.30am in the morning. Got up at 9am and then struggled to connect online.. checked if the connections were fine from my end… later at about 12.30pm I called the cust care again and warned them that you have only 30 mins left now.. u better get the line back up in working.. else shall sue your company… lol.. and guess what.. when I went online at 2pm.. the line was backup.. hahahaha…

Why do I have to threaten them always about suing them…. Cant they just do the work…

Astrology

Usually a question to spice up a boring social gathering is “ Do you believe in astrology?”Whenever people talk about astrology the question of “a belief” arises. It’s as if the human mindset instinctively associates astrology with “a belief.”Whenever people ask me if I believe in astrology, I respond to the question with another question: “What is a belief?” and I give them my answer right away.

A belief is everything you have not touched, not seen, not heard, not smelled, everything you have not lived and not experienced, everything that has not become part of your own life and existence and that has not become part of your own reality. It’s everything beyond your imagination, coming from another dimension you have not experienced yet, you are not aware of (yet) but that, nevertheless, exists somewhere for the ones who have experienced, researched or lived it.They are told how mysterious forces in the universe around them, work to shape their intimate destinies. They are told relatively flattering things about their characters and life, and in the end they are naturally pleased that someone cares about them. In the hectic and generally disconnected modern society, they feel connected Read more »

Orkut : A Curse or A Blessing?

I love talk shows and happened to watch a talk show on CNN IBN today and the topic for today’s discussion was Rules for the Orkut Age.

There are hundreds of social networking sites now on available on the World Wide Web like fropper.com, hi5.com, classmates.com, orkut.com, myspace.com, bigadda.com, yaari.com, meebo.com and the list is  endless and these social networking sites on the rise now. The social networking sites have their own pros and cons.

Orkut was awarded as the MTV Youth Icon 2007 this yr. Did MTV actually run out of ppl to add in a social networking site as one of the nominations for it?

It was in the year 1995 where it all started with the social networking site named classmates.com and since then the revolution of social networking sites continued.

There are 38.3 bllion page views every month worldwide on Orkut. 64% of the users on orkut are from Brazil, 14% from United States of America and 10% from India. Orkut alone has about 6 million users only from India, age category ranging from 15 yrs to 55 yrs. Currently Orkut is among the top 10 recalled sites brand list.

Now lets face the reality, I am a active Orkut user and there really isn’t anything wrong that I am doing on this site. Thanks to this site that I met all my 10th grade classmates and got in touch with all of them and continue to be in touch

What to write ?

I happened to have read this article somewhere and thought of writting it down here. It definetely boosted me up to write more again…

Something that almost inevitably happens to bloggers starting out their own niche site, is they run out of stuff to say. Generally, as a new blogger, you can shoot for around 3-4 months of solid content until the ideas begin escaping you.

This could possibly be caused by the lack of one or more of these:

  • 1. Inspiration
  • 2. Motivation
  • 3. Confidence

    Inspiration

At some stage you will become uninspired. Thankfully, this really is the easiest obstacle to overcome.

The first source of inspiration comes from your competitors. Or as you should get to know them as, your peers. Within your niche, find other people writing about the same stuff you are, or similar.

Subscribe to all of their feeds and organize them into a folder in your feedreader [this is particularly useful if you

    Hey Baby !

hey baby1hey baby1hey baby1Heyy Babyy is a remake of a English movie “Three men and a baby” , like it’s lead actor Akshay Kumar has a huge likeability factor associated with it. There’s tons of goofiness in the film which ensures a lot of laughs and saves the movie despite those melodramatic scenes where the three guys act like the little girl’s daddy….The audience seemed to have responded very well to the movie overall. The story is very simple, 3 men that like to party live in their bachelor pad in Sydney. One fine morning a little baby shows up at their doorstep with a letter that tells that it’s one of the guys’ daughter (the letter says - Kutte Kamine apni beti ko sambhal). Now the chores begin to keep the baby happy, and after an episode where they nearly get the baby killed, the three confirmed bachelors become doting daddies. However as they were settling into their new family, the mom (Vidya Balan) comes along and takes the baby away. Now our three musketeers together have a task at hand, which is how to bring the family together. Now let’s talk about the good things first. The best thing Sajid Khan did was to sign Akshay Kumar for the movie, he almost single handedly carries the movie on his shoulders. In addition the supporting cast of Ritesh and Fardeen is also very good. I had no idea Fardeen Khan could act and he does well in that Parimal sequence. Read more »

    Partner: Movie Review

partner.jpgSince I’ve already wasted around 4 hours of my precious time (including travel time to the theatre) on this movie, I don’t want to waste any more of my time writing a lengthy review. And certainly want to save your precious time, by telling you that I didnt quiet like this movie. Yes the movie was that bad….this is the third time in my life that I have hated a movie so very much.

I had some hopes with the movie what with Govinda and Salman Khan together in the remake of Hitch. Now Hitch wasn’t a bad movie and only if David Dhawan had not decided to introduce his own storyline, even Partner would have been fine. However, he did use his brain and what turned out to be was an utter disaster. The movie takes about forty minutes of some seriously inane, D-grade dialogues and sequences, before Salman Khan’s character decides to help Govinda’s character to get the girl of his dreams (Katrina Kaif).

Lara Dutta looked average and like Katrina didn’t have much to contribute to the first half. Chota Don played by Rajpal Yadav had maybe one or two funny lines and was a complete waste. The only scene that I could say did justice to the amount of comedic talent this movie had was when Govinda gets Katrina’s phone number. I really laughed hard in that scene and it was because there were no stupid dialogue in that scene, but just brilliant improvisation by Govinda.

I am still going to watch a Govinda  movie and a Salman Khan movie and any other movie starring Lara Dutta and Katrina….but it’ll take a REALLY strong reason for me to watch another David Dhawan movie. The movie gets only 2 stars for wasting my precious time. I really had expected a lot from this movie but it was an utter disaster. Now which sensible humna being doesnt know what he is supposed to do on his first night after the wedding. God !

    Reason for my vacation

Ok those of you who were wondering as to why i took so long to get back to my blog. There were several reasons for it.

    1. I was busy shopping in the month of august till aug 17th.
    2. I was running out of time to think and write something.
    3. And finally i got engageddddddddd

Yes i got engaged on 19th Aug, with the love of my life. Remember in my previous posts i used to mention a person named”Jaanu” well luckily its the same guy.. hahaha….

Our parents didnt have any problem in getting us married though being from different castes. The engagement was great. I enjoyed every bit of it. But was sad to leave Jaanu and get back to bangalore.

All is well that ends well. Later i was just not in a mood to write anything coz i was misisng Jaanu a lot and couldnt stop thinking about him or chatting with him online on over the phone. NOw he is off to work and busy so i guess this is the time i must utilise to start writting again.

    Out for a while

Out for a whileJust to let everyone know, I’m off for the next few weeks or so. And unlike many others, when I’m gone, I’m really gone man! … no email, no phone, no access, no way!!!! :-)

I love the connectivity of new technology, but my personal rule is - full shutdown. As on date i have quit my job even then I’m plugged into a computer 6 hrs every day , so when my vacation time comes, I take it seriously, and make myself available on an emergency only basis.  And let’s get real here, I’m just not that important. Somebody else can figure it out. ;-) OK, that’s all I got. See you next month.
